Coronavirus? Opportunity for Spiritual Growth

“Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.” Proverbs 1:8 & 9

Recently, I asked Jocelyn of Show Low if things had changed a bit over the past months at her house. Her reply, “Yes, my dad was home more. We did some homework together.” And 7 year old Noah, of Blythe, hosts church at home, dressed in suit and tie and pulls out his Bible to preach. His mom says, “My husband and I absolutely love these precious moments!”

God’s plan starts with family and it seems that His good pleasure for family togetherness unfolded during the past few months of the pandemic. Sure, it’s been hard. No. We didn’t plan on home schooling. Nor did we think the young adults would be home, AGAIN! But what better place to find spiritual growth for them and for you, than at home during times of testing.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Psalm 127:4

Let’s learn from the past few months and make more time to sharpen our children in God’s word. And benefit from it, ourselves.
